Description:

Ellendale Stage 2 & 3 involves the construction of 65 new residential allotments on an unutilised paddock.

Works Undertaken:

Construction of roadworks and drainage, electrical and public lighting, common service trenching, water and sewer mains and connections and includes:

  • Liaison and co-operation with service authorities
  • Preparation of management plans and QA
  • Setting out the works from established benchmarks and boundaries
  • Site clearing
  • Primary earthworks viz. boxing out of roadway, formation of footpaths, stockpiling of topsoil, filling, and compaction, etc.
  • Allotment filling and compaction under Level 1 Supervision
  • Provide Council and the Superintendent a copy of the Level 1 fill certificate and accompanying survey
  • Stormwater construction (including CCTV to the satisfaction of Council and the Superintendent)
  • Roadwork’s construction including - sub-grade preparation, road sub-base and base course construction, including block paving
  • Asphaltic concrete (hotmix) wearing course including before/after survey
  • Concrete works including - kerb and gutter, kerbing and spoon drain installation
  • Footpath construction along roadways (footpaths within reserves excluded)
  • Construction of water mains (potable) and associated works, including:
    • Excavation, supply, laying, testing and backfill of water mains and connections
    • Construction of fireplugs, stop valves, and other appurtenances including all covers required in accordance with standard details
  • Construction of Sewer drains, and associated works, including:
    • Excavation, supply, laying, testing and back-fill of sewer mains and connections, including air testing and CCTV to the satisfaction of the Superintendent and SA Water
    • Construction of access chambers, inspection openings, connection inspection openings and other appurtenances including all covers required in accordance with standard details
  • Co-ordination of SA Water to install water connections off existing mains
  • Common service trenching
  • Electrical and street-lighting installation
  • NBN pit and conduit installation
  • Tidy up of footways after completion of common service trench
  • Locating and depthing of the existing site services prior to construction
  • Reinstatement of existing roads affected by the new service installation works
